HEALTHY SHORELINES = HEALTHY LAKE

 

Are you interested in naturalizing your shoreline? We plan to hold an expert-led Workshop on shoreline restoration projects at the beginning of next summer if there is interest.

Did you know that maintaining or restoring your shoreline to a 75% natural state will help protect your waterfront from erosion, from wave action and ice damage. It would also moderate water temperature and flooding, provide habitat for wildlife and absorb nutrients from human activity. More to come on this 2025 project later in the summer. FAMILY DAY/ REGATTA
 

In the recent past, Leonard Lake families organized and ran an annual regatta with swimming races, a sailboat race, and activities for younger children.  Would you support the revival of the Leonard Lake Family Day/Regatta?

This is a call-out to young families to spearhead this event for next year 2025. We need about 5-6 families to help plan, organize and implement this fun filled day.  We need your expertise and know-how...what activities would be safe and most popular for all ages to make it a successful and fun day for kids, teens and families.

Benefits - meet other families on the lake, build long lasting friendships, sharing cool experiences while being at the cottage, and making lasting memories for your kids, and you too.
